Chief of Staff visits al-Sheikh Miskeen city in Daraa

Daraa – Commissioned by President Bashar al-Assad, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub inspected on Tuesday the Syrian Army units operating in al-Sheikh Miskeen city in Daraa over which the army established control, SANA reported.

Ayoub toured in the city, inspected the damage which terrorist organizations caused in it, and met the soldiers stationed in it, with the Chief of the General Staff affirming that this achievement forms an important step towards more victories in the southern region.

 

Ayoub was briefed by field commanders on the nature of the combat operations in the area and the plan which the army employed to restore stability and security to the city of al-Sheikh Miskeen, providing them with his directives to continue carrying out their tasks.

Earlier today, a military source announced that army units established full control over al-Sheikh Miskeen city, which is located in the northern countryside of Daraa province, after inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment upon the terrorist organizations that were active in it.
