Two Exhibitions on the Sidelines of Syria Mod

Beirut, (ST) – An exhibition for ornamental plants and another one for leather industry were held on the sidelines of Syria Mod exhibition for textile industries and clothing.

In a press statement to local press, Chairman of the Agriculture Committee of the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (ACSEF) Eyad Mohammad said that exhibits include a wide variety of the Damascene rose, seeds, aroma and medical herbs, noting that the ACSEF supports these Syrian products and works to promote and find them new markets.

He said that “Syria is one of the leading countries in the production of ornamental plants and seedlings on a large scale and support their producers.”

Concerning the leather industry exhibition, Chairman of the Chemical and Leather Industries at the SEF Samir al-Shami, said the participation in SyriaMod exhibition came in the framework of preparations to reach new markets such as Russia, especially in light of the customs and trade exchange facilitations discussed recently between Syria and Russia.
