Economic Cooperation with Russian “Sovocrim” Discussed

Damascus, (ST) – Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Minister, Jamal Shahin, recently affirmed commitment to enhancing economic and trade cooperation with Russia and to open new horizons for cooperation, particularly between the Syrian and Russian companies.

During a meeting with a delegation representing the Russian company “Sovocrim”, Mr. Shahin said that the Syrian government is working on improving economic relations between Syria and Russia to match the level of political relations between the two countries.

 

For his part, Head of the Russian Company said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had directed Russian companies to accomplish their projects in Syria and to develop relations of economic cooperation with the Syrian side.

He noted that “Sovocrim” is working on implementing the agreement related to Tal Kalakh Mill without delay, adding that the company will rehabilitate Adra Silo and to expand cooperation with the Syrian companies.
