“Syriamod” Exhibition in Beirut Tomorrow

Damascus, (ST) – The Specialist exhibition for clothing “Syriamod” with the participation of about 100 companies specialized in clothing, leather and shoes from Damascus, Aleppo and Homs as well as companies specialized in textile from Lattakia.

Head  of the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF), Mohammed al Sawah confirmed in a press statement that the exhibition has become the most important regional clothing fair that attracts importers and traders from different countries, especially Lebanon, the Arab Gulf, Iraq, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, and North Africa in order to make deals for the benefit of their countries’ markets.

 

The two –day exhibition will be held on an area of 3 thousand square meters “The recovery of the Syrian textile industry attracted the attention of many importers and it is anticipated that the Syrians industrialists will get enough export contracts for the season spring-summer 2016,” Mr. al -Sawah revealed.

He said that the SEF has a rich agenda through 2016 to help in the repositioning of the Syrian products in export markets and achieve a distinct presence, pointing out to the existence of several foreign participation that are being prepared in a number of major exhibitions closest including Gulfood Fair in Dubai.

Participants in the exhibition confirmed that “Syriamod” has become as the most important event for   the factories of textile and clothing, pointing out that the clothing industry and the Syrian fabric is still strongly competitive in price and quality.

The 6th copy of the exhibition “Syriamod” was organized in Beirut between 7 and 9 of last August which saw a good turnout of buyers from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq and other Arab countries.
