Social Affairs Minister, Damascus Countryside Governor visit al-Foua’a and Kafraya families in al-Sayeda Zeinab

Damascus Countryside – Minister of Social Affairs Rima al-Qadiri and Governor of Damascus Countryside Hussein Makhlouf visited on Friday families from al-Foua’a and , whom recently left their towns in Idleb in order to secure their needs, and inspected the conditions in their place of residence in al-Sayeda Zeinab town in Damascus Countryside, SANA reported.

On December 28th, around 300 families from al-Foua’a and Kafraya left their towns in the countryside of Idleb which has been under siege by the armed terrorist groups for two years. The move came within an agreement reached last September.

 The officials instructed concerned authorities to secure all the families’ needs, especially providing them with food and health services.

The minister hailed the great steadfastness of the citizens of al-Foua’a and Kafraya towns in combating terrorism.

In turn, Makhlouf called the directorates of health, technical services and electricity, the Municipal Council of al-Sayeda Zeinab town and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to provide people with the necessary supplies and work on ensuring the necessary medical care for them in cooperation with Social Affairs Ministry.

At the end of the tour, clothes and gifts were distributed among the families.
