Army foils terrorist attacks on neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor

Provinces – Army units continued on Saturday military operations against the terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in several provinces, eliminating huge numbers of terrorists and destroying their weaponry, SANA reported.

Deir Ezzor

The Army units clashed with terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and  Syria (ISIS) who were trying to attack many residential neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor  city and its military airport.

 The army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists in personnel and equipment,  destroying a number of vehicles and equipment and killing and injuring much of the  terrorists, while the others escaped.

Aleppo

The army air force targeted the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists’ sites and in the villages of Akolah and al-Sawamea area, Rasem al-Abed, Deir Hafer and to the east of Balat in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.

The army inflicted heavy losses upon the extremist organization in personnel and equipment in addition to destroying the terrorists’ machinegun-equipped vehicles, killing all terrorists onboard.

Another army unit destroyed ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and mortar and rocket –launch pad in Balat villages and its surroundings.

Other army units destroyed the terrorist organizations’ hideouts, killing terrorists inside, and destroying weapons and ammunition in the neighborhoods of al-Sheikh Said, al-Sheikh Lutfi, Salah Eddin and Bustan al-Bacha in the city of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, an army unit destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement sites in the surroundings of al-Morouj private school to the north of Anadan town in the northern countryside of the province.

An army unit targeted terrorist organizations’ hideouts at the surroundings of Tal Dadin in the southern countryside of the province, killing and injuring 11 terrorists.

The Takfiri terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media websites the killing of the so-called leader of Ahmad Assaf Battalion at Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement Abdel-Muaen Ahmad Hag Hamdan, nicknamed Abu Abdullah al-Sharae and terrorists Abdul-Rahman Suleiman Awad and Mohammad Hussein al-Hardan.

Idleb/Hama

The army’s air force destroyed sites and vehicles of terrorists in Latamneh, Ma’arKaba, Aydoun and al-Tamana’a in Hama and Idleb countryside.

Homs

The army’s air force launched airstrikes on positions and fortified sites for ISIS in the surroundings of al-Qaryatain city, 85 km to the southeast of Homs city.

The positions targeted were destroyed, with several ISIS terrorists getting killed and their vehicles destroyed.
