Moscow, (ST) – Moscow Mayor Sergei Sabian in opened recently the City Food Exhibition of Foodstuff in the commercial center in the Russian capital Moscow with the participation of Syria.
The Syrian Embassy in Moscow exerted great efforts to choose the pavilion site and the start of work that allow Syrian producers and exporters to supply their products and sell them to consumers in the Russian Federation.
This process was in coordination with the Syrian economic institutions involved in the public and private sectors and Syrian businessmen, expatriates, with the support of officials in the province of Moscow and the mayor who gave more advantages to the Syrian pavilion.
Moscow Mayor expressed his admiration for the Syrian products of the food industry during his tour in the Syrian pavilion and wished success to Syrian businessmen in the Russian market.
“The opening of the Syrian pavilion in the exhibition is a very important step on the road to promote economic and trade relations between Syria and the Russian Federation,” a Syrian diplomat said in Syria’s Embassy in Moscow.
“Syria has a varied agricultural commodities and food products” explaining that the pavilion is able to display all the ready-made food products and others,” he added.
In a similar interview a Syrian businessman, who lives in Moscow, Amjad Doba said that it is necessary to make the City Food Center an important place for Syrian exporters, especially as it is one of the largest shopping centers in Europe.
