Vienna talks expected to prepare ground for political solution

TEHRAN– Iranian Deputy FM has said Vienna Syrian talks should prepare the ground for a political resolution, which includes the decision of Syrian nation for their future.

“Tehran praises the nation, Army, government and the legal President of Syria Bashar Asad for fighting against terrorism”, the Iranian official said during the conference, according to the Iranian Mehr news.

Talking about the Vienna talks, he added that Iran has made no decision whether or not to attend the upcoming Vienna talks on Syria.

Reuters quoted Amir-Abdollahian as saying that Iran’s participation in the next ministerial meeting in Vienna would depend on Washington’s answers about some unilateral actions taken by the parties attending the talks without consulting others.

He noted that Iran will continue its supports for Syria and only political solutions are fitted for the crisis.

“Vienna talks should pave the way for the Syrian nation to decide about their own future and destiny,” he asserted.
