Miqdad meets Fatah delegation

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister has said the terrorist attack against Syria and the Palestinian people aims at liquidating the Palestinian cause and destroying the Syrian people’s achievements in economic and political fields.

Faisal al-Miqdad, who was speaking during his meeting today with Fatah Movement delegation headed by Abbas Zaki, asserted Syria’s incessant support for the just Palestinian cause in confronting the criminal attacks being carried out by the world Zionism, Israeli extremists and their allies in Saudi Arabia and in other Arab countries.

He clarified that there is no difference between terrorism Syria confronts and that being practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people as they have the same roots.

On his part, Zaki talked about the role of the Palestinian people in confronting Netanyahu government’ racist policy that seeks to abort the Palestinian cause.

He affirmed that the Palestinian people is proud of the legendary steadfastness of Syria and its army in confronting the terror attack that targets it.

“Syria has not abandoned its firm stance that supports the Palestinian people’s cause to restore its legitimate rights,” Zaki said.

Over 80 Palestinians have been killed and 2.270 others injured by Israeli fire during an ongoing unrest in the West Bank since early October 2015, according to the Palestinian News agency (WAFA).
