Arab workers unions discuss counterterrorism and immigration

BAGHDAD, (ST) _ The General Federation of Arab Workers Unions has held a symposium entitled ‘War on terrorism and reduction of immigration’ in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, with the participation of Syrian delegation.

The speakers in the symposium held today talked about the relation between counterterrorism and immigration that face the Arab communities.

“As long as the terror war continues, immigration to European countries will increase and benevolence will decrease in Arab lands,” Iraq’s Transport Minister Baqer Jaber al-Zbidi said, hailing heroic acts of the Iraqi and Syrian armies, who are fighting terrorism.

“Terrorist gangs that wreak havoc and perpetrate crimes in Iraq and Syria serve the US-Zionist plot that seeks to prevent Arab nation from copping with the world development and to loot its wealth,” he added.

On his part, Secretary of Workers Union in Syria Hamad al-Qal’ani told the official news agency (SANA) on the sidelines of the symposium that the issues of terrorism and immigration could be solved through stopping financial, military and logistic support to terrorists and to immigration mafias.
