Safavi Stresses Iran’s Prominent Role in Anti – Terrorism Fight

Military Advisor to the Supreme Leader Major-General Yahya Rahim-Safavi said that pivotal role of Iran in fight against Takfiri terrorist groups is very significant, according to IRNA.

Through its military advisors, Iran is now rendering services to those who are in direct combat against Daesh Takfiri terrorist groups, he said.

In a meeting with the family of martyred Major-General Hossein Hamedani, Safavi said Syria is now regarded as an international warfront against the US and Zionists.

The US and Zionists along with a number of countries in the region such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey have formed a unified front to topple the legal government of Syria, he said.

The enemies have planned to target Syria, Lebanese Hizbullah, Iraq and finally Iran as they believe that there is a strong bond between these powers, he said.

US poses biggest threats against Iran, says Jalali

On the other hand, Head of Iran’s Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali said on Friday that civil defense will guarantee the country’s territorial integrity against potential threats.

Speaking before Tehran’s Friday praying sermons, he said civil defense will guarantee the country against any type of threats mainly created by the US.

Civil defense has several phases defined as identification of threats and enemies and adopting suitable tactics and strategies in dealing with them, he said.
