TEHRAN, (ST)-Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs and Expatriates Faysal al-Mikdad and the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdullahian on Tuesday discussed the continuity of coordination and consultation between Syria and Iran on issues of common interests and on the fight against terrorism.
Talks dealt with the latest developments on the Syrian arena and the efforts being exerted within the framework of counterterrorism.
Focus was made on political developments in the light of Vienna conference on Syria in addition to the Iranian proposal regarding the political solution in Syria.
The meeting was attended by Syria’s Ambassador to Iran Adnan Mahmoud and the Foreign and Expatriates Minister’s Advisor Ahmad Arnous.
