Yemeni Army to Change Strategy to Confront Saudi-Led Aggression after Coalition Brought ISIL Terrorists Fighting in Syria to Yemen

SANAA, (ST)-Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Ghaleb Luqman announced on Wednesday that “the Yemeni military and security Command tends to change its strategy in the confrontation of the Saudi-led aggression as a result of new developments on ground after the Saudi aggression brought to Yemen hundreds of terrorists affiliated to different terrorist organizations that were fighting in Syria.”

In a statement to Yemen News Agency (SABA), Luqman said “the process of conveying personnel affiliated to terrorist organizations including Blackwater, Jabhet al-Nousra, the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL), al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups to Aden province, aims to help these organizations participate in achieving some gains that the agents and mercenaries of these groups failed to achieve in clashes with the Yemeni army and popular committees.”

He stressed that “the Saudi-led coalition has brought such terrorists and criminals to commit as possible crimes and violations as they can against civilians and freedom-fighters who reject the Saudi aggression, occupation and hegemony over Yemeni southern provinces.”

The spokesman asserted that “the Yemeni army, popular committees and people, armed with strong faith in God, strong determination and self confidence, are on high alert to confront the terrorists and foil their aspirations in occupying the Yemeni lands.”

A Syrian Arab Army spokesman said on Tuesday, citing intelligence reports from the Yemeni Airport of Aden, that on October 16th , 2015, four Turkish, Qatari and Emirati airplanes have transferred to Yemen more than 500 ISIL terrorists who withdrew from Syria following Russian airstrikes on the terrorists’ positions.
