Syrian Delegation Meets Representatives of Polish Companies

Warsaw, (ST) –  A Syrian economic delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Industry, Dr. Nidal Fallouh, met yesterday a delegation representing several Polish companies, including Kongrab Company specialized in paper industry,  Android Company for the manufacture of generators, Balton Company for equipment and medical devices,  Sbaumaz Company specialized in the equipment of mills industry and Mokbadi company for the production of food and red meat.

Dr. Fallouh underlined to Directors and Heads of Companies the existence of promising prospects for cooperation with Syria, indicating that the Syrian market needs for the products of these companies after the destruction that hit a lot of government and private laboratories and factories.

Industrialists and representatives of the Syrian Industry and Commerce Chambers also discussed with representatives of Polish companies ways to enhance cooperation relations between the two sides and overcome the obstacles that hinder this cooperation.

In a press conference at the Syrian Embassy in Warsaw attended by representatives of the Polish media, Dr. Fallouh presented a brief presentation about the meetings held by the delegation with the Polish side, stressing that he feltinterest and care by representatives of the Polish companies to develop and strengthen cooperation relations with Syria to meet the needs of the Syrian market under the current circumstances.

For her part, General Director of the Investment Authority Halla Ghazal presented, during the conference, a brief overview of legislations and laws concerning investment process in Syria that give a lot of privileges and facilities to foreign investors, stressing that the Syrian market is promising in the investment field.

The Acting Syrian Embassy in Warsaw, Dr. Idris Mia, confirmed that the meetings held by the economic delegation with the Polish side were fruitful and a good start to reactivate the economic and trade relations between the two parties, pointing out the care paid by the President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and representatives of Polish companies to do everything that would promote the economic relations between the two countries.

The Syrian economic delegation, began the visit to Poland on 18 October at the invitation of the Polish Chambers of Commerce and Industry to discuss possible ways to enhance opportunities of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
