Cham Wings Airlines Launches Flights to Khartoum

 

Damascus, (ST) -Cham Wings Airlines launched the first flight on Friday from Damascus to the International Airport of Khartoum as the first African station in an effort to expand the scope of its flights to reach all Syrian expatriate communities in the country.

Director of Public Relations at the Sudanese Embassy in Damascus, Mohammed Salman Fadl, said in a statement to local press, “we hope that this trip will be a good start for all Syrians who wish to travel from Damascus International Airport to any point around the world,” pointing to the importance of this step in the promotion of trade between Syria and Sudan and the return of the movement of exports and imports between the two countries.

 The Director of Business Development at Cham Wings Airlines, Osama Sati’, said that the opening of the air route between Damascus and Khartoum is under development and expansion plan of the company in order to reach and cover all the points and stations.

He pointed out that Khartoum is an important station on the travel map of the company’s plants because of the large Syrian community there, which estimated at 400 thousand citizens, stressing that the company strives to develop commercial shipping process and activate the movement of goods between Syria and Sudan.

It is worthy mentioned, that the Cham Wings Airlines launched at the beginning of September its first flight from Damascus International Airport to Muscat, Oman.

The Sham Wings operates flights to Baghdad, Beirut, Kuwait, Doha, Dubai and Istanbul, as well as domestic flights to the city of Qamishli.
