Marking World Tourism Day, Tourism Ministry Sings Three Agreements to Support Country’s Human Heritage, Tourist Elements

DAMASC US, (ST)-Within the framework of the Tourism ministry’s activities to celebrate the World Tourism Day, the Ministry on Sunday signed three agreements with the Information Ministry, the Exports Promotion and Development Agency and the “Syriatel” Mobile Company aiming at supporting human heritage and tourism elements in Syria.

The festivity marking this occasion was titled “I Belong to Syria…I Belong to Future”.

According to Coordinator of Tourist Activities at the Ministry Ruba Sasila, the agreements seek activating cooperation and joint action among concerned parties as to support the Syrian human and cultural heritage and to promote Syria’s tourism elements abroad.

Bisher Yaziji, the Tourism Minister, said in a speech that the ministry is reactivating its strategic partnerships and seeking collective action in order to support tourism in Syria which is being exposed to the most heinous aggression in history targeting the past, the present and the future of the country.

“We are keen on enhancing the role of tourism in reflecting the cultural and civilized image of Syria at present and in future,” Yaziji said.
