Justice Minister to French Delegation: Syria to Sue States Supporting Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Minister of Justice Najm Hamad al-Ahmad has stressed that “Syria will sue the countries which have supported terrorism”.

The minister made the remarks during his meeting with a French delegation visiting Syria to discuss the situation in the country and be briefed on developments on ground particularly after the gains achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in confrontations with the terrorist organizations.

Al-Ahmad pointed out that highly professional judicial committees are obtaining evidence and documents about the support provided by some Arab and Foreign countries to terrorist groups in Syria. He affirmed that “Syria will sue these countries.”

Members of the French delegation said that “they have already filed a lawsuit against the French foreign minister to let the French public opinion know what is going on.”

The two sides discussed the possibility of setting up an applicable legal mechanism to refute western media lies and disinformation attempts. They also focused on the legal procedures that can be adopted to defend Syria at international platforms.
