Syrian army kills 80 terrorists north of Lattakia, destroys tunnel used by terrorists in Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed more than 80 terrorists north of Lattakia  and has destroyed a tunnel used by terrorist organizations in Aleppo,  military sources declared on Saturday.

The sources clarified that over 33 terrorists, most of them were belonging to the al-Nusra Front, were killed during a military operation against their hideouts in the camp of al-Etera town, about 60 km north of Lattakia city.

The operation also resulted in the destruction of 7 vehicles belonging to the terrorists.

47 more terrorists were eliminated as an army unit targeted terrorist organizations in al-Soda town in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia, the sources said.

Clashes in Daraa

Moving towards the south of the country,  a clash erupted between an army unit and an armed terrorist group south-west of Kerbet Ghazaleh’s bridge in the northeastern countryside of Daraa.

The clashes ended with the death of many terrorists and the destruction of a bulldozer and weapons belonging to them, the official news agency (SANA) reported.

The agency added that another army unit destroyed 3 vehicles belonging to the al-Nusra Front terrorists and killed large numbers of terrorists in Refugees camp in Daraa al-Balad area in the same province.

Further terrorists affiliated to ISIS [also known as ISIL or IS or Daesh] were killed in a concentrated strikes against ISIS sites in al-Saqeyeh town in the northeastern countryside of Sweida.

While in the northern Aleppo province, army units destroyed a tunnel used by terrorist organizations in Salaheddin quarter in the city of Aleppo and inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in al-Sheikh Lutfi town in the southwestern countryside of the province.

SANA confirmed the continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in several areas in and outside Aleppo.

Hundreds of terrorists killed and injured in Idleb 

Moreover, popular defense groups in cooperation with the people of Kafraya and al-Fo’a towns in Idleb countryside warded off an attack launched by terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Islamic Turkistan Party’ and the ‘Jond al-Aqsa’ and inflicted heavy losses on them.

Field sources told SANA that popular defense groups, backed by Syrian warplanes, killed and injured hundreds of terrorists over the past 24 hours in towns of Bennesh, Maaret Mesrin, Taftinaz, Ram Hamdan, Dier al-Zaghab and al-Swagheyeh on the outskirts of Kafraya and al-Fo’a towns.

The defense groups have engaged in the fiercest clashes with terrorist organizations since the blockade imposed on the two towns.

” 12 vehicles, 4 armored cars and 5 vehicle bombs belonging to terrorists were destroyed during the clashes,” the sources said, adding that terrorist organizations pulled several  bodies  and dozens of wounded to the nearby Maaret Mesrin town where cars belonging to the Erdogan regime conveyed them to Turkish territories. 

In another development, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel  referred to a fighting flared up between ISIS foreign terrorists and local ones on the outskirts of Der Ezzour air base.

At least 8 ISIS terrorists were killed in the fighting.
