Syrian army recaptures more areas in Zabadani city, destroys weapons-laden vehicles for Jaish al-Fateh

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured al-Nabo’a quarter inside Zabadani city and has destroyed several hideouts and vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in Idleb,  Aleppo, Daraa and Hama countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance fully controlled al-Nabo’a quarter plus several buildings in Ein al-Hemmeh quarter inside Zabadani city and tightened grip on the remaining terrorists in the city, which is located 45km north-west of Damascus.  

The fresh achievement synchronized with pounding several terrorist hideouts in and outside Aleppo and destroying a convoy of vehicles loaded with weapons and munitions to the ‘Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists on Frekeh-Ziara road at area linking Idleb and Hama.

A military source confirmed that Syrian warplanes completely destroyed the vehicles, while field sources said that an army unit pounded a hideout of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Saraqeb city south-east of Idleb city.

Well over 8 terrorists were killed and several others wounded inside the hideout.

The “Jaish al-Fateh’ [Army of the conquest] is composed of terrorists from the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Soqor al-Sham’, the ‘Jend al-Aqsa’, the ‘al-Sham’ legion, the ‘al-Haq’ brigade, the ‘Sunni Army’, the ‘Ajnad al-Sham’ and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, which are linked with the Saudi regime.

Damascus-Sanamin-Izraa highway secured

Moving towards the south of the country, Syrian army secured Damascus-Sanamin-Izraa highway after clashes with terrorists, according to the al-Mayadeen TV channel.

Separately, Customs seized a car loaded with a big quantity of munitions inside a car at the eastern entrance to Mesyaf city in Hama province.

About 20 boxes containing 8400 PKC gun bullets were found in the car, Hama Customs Director Abbas Abbas said, adding that the driver was arrested.
