Syrian army kills many ISIS terrorists in Palmyra and Sweida

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has destroyed 3 ISIS vehicles in Palmyra countryside amid continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in the southern and central regions.

A military source declared today that army units carried out concentrated operations against ISIS groupings in Palmyra countryside, about 160km east of Homs city, killing many terrorists and destroying an armored car plus 2 Pick Up cars belonging to them.

It added that an army unit in cooperation with popular defense groups killed more ISIS terrorists in a concentrated operation in Enq al-Hawa town in Homs countryside.

There was also an attack launched by ISIS terrorists on al-Rastan dam north of Homs city, but army units foiled the attack.

About 27km north-west of Homs city, many terrorists affiliated to the al-Nura Front were eliminated as army units targeted terrorist organizations in al-Holeh area.

Terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front, the ‘Jaish al-Tawhid’, the “Homs’ legion, the ‘Ahel al-Sonneh and al-Jama’a’, the ‘Ajnad Homs and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ movement spread in al-Holeh and Talbeseh areas and they receive support from the Saudi regime.

Moving towards the southern region, army units killed many ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of Tal Mo’az in the northeastern countryside of Sweida and destroyed several vehicles belonging to al-Nusra Front in Daraa al-Balad, which is adjacent to Jordanian border.

Terrorist organizations confirmed through social media the death of the ‘al-Muthanna Movement’ military emir dubbed Samer Yehia Abo al-Qaias in Daraa province.

Meanwhile, army units and the Lebanese resistance killed 7 terrorists in Zabadani city, about 45km north-west of Damascus.
