Syrian army kills scores of ISIS terrorists outside Der Ezzour air base, carries out operations in several areas

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed scores of ISIS terrorists on the outskirt of Der Ezzour airbase and has carried out qualitative operations in the northeastern countryside of Sweida and in the northern countryside of Lattakia, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units and national defense groups thwarted ISIS terrorists’ infiltration bid into Der Ezzour air base and inflicted heavy losses on terrorists there.

“ISIS terrorists tried to infiltrate into the airbase after they exploded 3 vehicles bombs at the eastern edge of the airbase,” sources told the agency, adding that scores of terrorists were killed and large numbers of vehicles belonging to them were destroyed during the confrontations.

In this context, some media sources said that Syrian army recaptured several sites on the outskirts of Der Ezzour air base in the wake of clashes with ISIS terrorists.

Further ISIS terrorists were eliminated in a qualitative operation carried out today morning by army units against ISIS sites on the outskirts of Tal Sa’ed area in the northeastern countryside of Sweida.

Another qualitative operation was carried out by army units and national defense groups against terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Sources clarified that the operation targeted a meeting for terrorist ringleaders inside a hideout in an area located between Atera and al-Kaber towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

45 terrorists killed and injured   

3 terrorists were killed and 15 others wounded and 3cars belonging to them were destroyed during the operation.

27 more terrorists were killed and injured and a car loaded with explosives was destroyed as army units struck a training camp for terrorist organizations in al-Kaber town.

Last night, army units killed 24 terrorists and wounded 36 others in the same town, which is located 60km north-east of Lattakia city.

Moving towards the south of the country, army units killed many terrorists affiliated the al-Nusra front in the western edge of Bosra al-Sham city, about 40km south-east of Daraa city.

While in the central region, army units clashed with terrorists that tried to infiltrate into a military post on the outskirts of Mrimin town in the northwestern countryside of Homs and carried out successful qualitative operations against terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of the same province.

Yesterday, army units fully controlled oil and gas fields in Jazal area in the eastern countryside of Homs.
