Terror mortar fire kills at least 2 in Damascus

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Terrorist organizations fired mortar shells on Bab Touma and al-Amara quarters in Damascus, killing at least 2 persons and wounding over 12 others, a police command source declared Monday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as saying that the wounded persons were admitted to the Red Crescent and the French hospitals.

Local social media said that 6 mortar shells hit the Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering in al-Sena’a quarter, and the surrounding of the ‘Ommaya ‘ School and the al-Tahrir square in Damascus.  

Last week, terrorist organizations targeted Bab Touma and al-Abbaseyen quarters in the same province [Damascus] with mortars, killing 4 persons and wounding 14 others.

The residential areas in Damascus and its suburb almost daily being targeted by mortars and rockets fired by terrorist organizations holed up  in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

The US, France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel support terrorist organizations, which included the so-called the ‘armed moderate opposition’, in Syria, according to world media reports.
