Ahmadinejad Discusses Chavez’s Health Conditions over Phone

TEHRAN, (ST)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a telephone call with Venezuela’s Vice-President Nicolas Maduro discussed the latest health conditions of President Hugo Chavez.

During the phone conversation  Maduro informed President Ahmadinejad about the latest medical treatments and health status of President Chavez.

Last month, Iran expressed pleasure over  the successful surgery on President Chavez.

In a message to Maduro  , Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi voiced Tehran’s satisfaction with the successful surgery of President Chavez.

Salehi also renewed Tehran’s commitment to the friendly bonds between the two countries, and wished prosperity for the government  and great nation of Venezuela.

Last month, Maduro said surgeons in Cuba have successfully operated on President Chavez to eliminate cancerous tissue.

It was the president’s fourth cancer-related operation since June 2011. The Iranian president wished for Chavez’s immediate recovery.
