Terrorists target Education Ministry in Damascus with mortars

DAMASCUS,(ST)_At least 5 persons wounded today in a terror mortar fire on residential areas in Damascus, according to a police command source.

The source said that terrorists fired today morning mortar shells from the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus on residential areas in Damascus, wounding 5 persons and causing material damage to public and private properties.

37 shells fell on Ministry of Education in Mazraa quarter and in the old ground of Damascus Exhibition, Abbaseyen, Adawi, Esh al-Warwar, al-Sheikh Reslan, Abo Remmaneh, Tijara and Bab Touma quarters as well as in Omayyad square and the “Dama Rose” Hotel,   according to local social media.

Later today, the official news agency (SANA) reported that the mortar attacks on Damascus killed at least 4 persons and wounded 28 others

Yesterday, terrorists fired 5 mortar shells on Damascus city, wounding 3 persons.

The shells were fire by terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ [Islam Army].
