Terrorists fire 7 mortar shells on Damascus, killing man and woman

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Terrorist mortar fire on Damascus killed a man and a woman and wounded 3 persons on Friday, according to a police command source.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as saying that 7 mortar shells, fired by terrorists on several homes in residential areas in Damascus, killed a man and a woman and wounded 3 persons.

“Several homes and 2 cars were damaged in the terror attack,” the source added.

Later today, the number of shells that were fired on Damascus reached 20 and the number of wounded persons has risen to 7, according to Syrian social media.  

The shells fell in Bab Touma, Mazra’a, Qosor, al-Khateb,Tijara, Abbaseyen,Esh al-Warwar, Kabbas, Jesr al-Ra’es  areas and on the outskirts of al-Mohafaza square and Omayyad square in Damascus.

5 more shells hit Jaramana suburb of Damascus.

Last night, 11 persons were wounded when shells hit several residential areas in Damascus.

The shells were fired by terrorist organizations holed up in Jobar quarter near Damascus.  

The US, France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel support terrorist organizations in Syria, world media reports confirm.
