Al-Halqi: Arab Federations, Organizations Should Work to Support the Syrian People in Confrontation of the Terrorist War

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi has asserted that Arab organizations and federations should shoulder their responsibility in fortifying national Arab security through enhancing the national feeling and mobilizing the Arab nations’ potentials as to support the Syrian people in the confrontation of the global terrorist war targeting Syria.

Al-Halqi’s remarks were made during his meeting with a delegation representing the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the Federation of Arab Agricultural Engineers.

 

The premier regretted that some Arab countries are suffering famine and don’t invest their resources properly although elements of successful agricultural sector are available. Therefore, al-Halqi said, the Federation of Arab agricultural Engineers should work to develop this sector, consolidate Arab food security and preserve the Arab nation’s resources.

The premier talked about the situation in Syria before the terrorist war and about the economic development and social stability that distinguished the country over  decades.  

He stressed that the ongoing military, economic and media war on Syria aims to take revenge from Syria over its national stances and its key role in defending just Arab causes.

On their part, members of the delegation, stressed that the Syrian people have proved to the whole world their ability to resist and keep steadfast thanks to their rallying around their leadership and army, a matter that led many countries to change their stances towards Syria.

They affirmed that the Syrian state has been the biggest supporter for common Arab action and cooperation, referring to Syria’s effective contributions to the works of Arab federations and organizations.
