Any Solution that Doesn’t Get the Satisfaction of the Syrian People Is Rejected- Velayati

TEHRAN, (ST)- Ali Akbar Velayati, a top adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has asserted that relations between Syria and Iran are strategic and strong and that the Syrian government, people and leadership have done very well in confrontation of the heinous terrorist aggressing which has been facing Syria for almost five years.

Velayati, who was speaking during a meeting with Syria’s Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi in Tehran on Tuesday, said the main goal of the aggression on Syria is to undermine the axis of resistance which has been facing American and Zionist schemes in the region.

He added “Syria’s enemies are saying today that military option doesn’t work in Syria,” in reference to the procedure adopted by the Security Council yesterday.

“It is unknown that this procedure is good to Syria, but all have realized that military option doesn’t work in Syria and that political solution is the only way to end the crisis,” he clarified.

“Any solution coming from abroad without getting the satisfaction of the Syrian people is rejected,” Velayati stressed.

On his part, al-Zou’bi asserted that “the Syrian-Iranian relation isn’t that of alliance between two countries based on international relations and political interests, it is that of fraternity and no one can separate the brotherly relation between Syria and Iran.

“We believe that this brotherly relation is deeply rooted and is getting enhanced day after day in all domains,” the minister said.
