Syrian army recaptures 46 buildings inside Zabadani city, kills large numbers of terrorists in Lattakia countryside
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has regained control over 46 buildings inside Zabadani city in Damascus countryside and has killed large numbers of terrorists in the northern countryside of Lattakia, according to military sources.
A military source declared today morning that Syrian army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance fully controlled 46 buildings inside the city of Zabadani, located 45 km northwest of Damascus, after eliminating terrorist organizations outposts there.
It confirmed the continuity of pursuing terrorist organizations in several areas inside the city.
While media reports said that Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance recaptured al-Zahra quarter and al-Hara al-Gharbeyeh area, which include narrow streets, indicating that a field commander in the so-called the ’Ahrar al-Sham Movement’, dubbed Abo Ali Shdid, was among the terrorists killed in the city.
Yesterday, army units and the Lebanese resistance recaptured several buildings in the western edge of Zabadani city and seized a bomb-making factory on the outskirts of al-Kornish square.
There were 50 mortar shells, explosive devices, gas cylinders and bombs inside the factory, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency reported today that army units eliminated large numbers of terrorists in the northern countryside of Lattakia and struck terrorist organizations in Daraa province.
It quoted a military source as citing that over 13 terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front were killed in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes against terrorist hideouts in towns of al-Edo and Marj al-Zaweyeh in Salma area in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
The source pointed out that army units killed large numbers of the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement’s terrorists in Kansba area.
People from al-Birnas and al-Tibat towns in Jesr Esh Shugur area in Idlib countryside said that they saw the Ahrar al-Sham Movement’s ambulances conveying wounded terrorists to field hospitals in the two towns.
In another development, army units discovered yesterday a 600-meter-long tunnel in Jobar quarter near Damascus.
