Syrian army destroys rocket launchers, arms cache and vehicles for terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has destroyed two rocket launchers, arms cache and vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in Daraa and Lattakia countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a military source as saying that army units carried out qualitative operations against al-Nusra Front and allied groups overnight in al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh , Kahil and Jbib towns in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

“The operations resulted in the death of many terrorists in Kahil and Jbib towns and the destruction of two rockets launchers in the square of al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh town,” the source added.

It indicated that army units destroyed several hideouts and vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in Maqas al-Hajar area and al-Yadodeh town and west of Tal al-Za’atar in the northwestern countryside of Daraa as well as in Daraa al-Mahatta and Daraa al-Balad quarters in Daraa city.

Meanwhile, army units destroyed an arms cache plus several vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations during concentrated operations in Dwer al-Akrad, Jeb al-Ahmar and Abo Risheh towns and at Rawda-Rabe’a junction in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

A terrorist group alongside its Saudi leader, dubbed Abo al-Abbas, were killed in the operations, according to a military source.

There were also other operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and Darayya city in Damascus countryside. 

In another development, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that a truce reached in Zabadani city in Damascus countryside and in al-Fo’aa and Kafaria towns in Idlib countryside.
