Syrian army foils infiltration bid into Daraa city, kills and injures hundreds of terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has foiled terrorist organizations’ infiltration bid into Daraa city and has recaptured 11 buildings north and east of Zabadani city in Damascus countryside.

According to a military source, an army unit foiled an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate into Daraa city, killing and injuring hundreds of terrorists including 5 ringleaders.  

5 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to terrorists were destroyed during the confrontations, which coincided with targeting al-Nusra Front hideouts in Daraa al-Mahatta in Daraa city and in al-Yadideh town in the northwestern countryside of the province.

Many terrorists were killed and injured there, the official news agency (SANA) said, adding that army units struck terrorist organizations in Nasib town and in al-Ghareyeh town in the northeastern countryside of Daraa where many terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham Movement’ were killed.

“Leader of the so-called the ‘Jaish al-Yarmouk’ , Bashar al-Zoubi, plus a leader in the so-called the ‘al-Moatasem Bellah’ brigade and over 50 terrorists were killed in a qualitative operation in al-Naemeh town,” SANA confirmed.

The agency also referred to clashes erupted between an army unit and a terrorist group that tried to infiltrate into Bothaina field, about 35 km north-east of Sweida city.

The clashes ended with killing many terrorists and destroying their vehicles.

More buildings recaptured in Zabadani city

In another development, army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance recaptured 11 buildings north and east of Zabadani city and killed scores of terrorists there.

Moving towards the north of the country, army units killed many of ISIS terrorists in Kweris, Erbid and Blat towns and in Tadef city east of Aleppo city.

Further terrorists affiliated to the same terror organization [ISIS, also known as ISIL and IS] were eliminated in Palmyra countryside in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes.

Syrian warplanes, in addition, destroyed a bomb-making factory belonging to terrorists in Rabe’a area in the northern countryside of Lattakia and bombed the Jaish al-Fateh’ terrorists in Idlib countryside.
