Austrian, German ISIL Terrorists Call for Single-Handed Attacks in Home Countries

MOSCOW — Two “Islamic State” (ISIL) terrorists, originally from Austria and Germany, published a video online calling for single-handed attacks to be carried out in European countries, the US-based monitoring organization SITE Intelligence Group reported on Wednesday, according to Sputnik International.

In the video, shot in the central Syrian city of Tadmur, the terrorists urge Austrian and German felows to join ISIL and come to the territories under the group’s control.

The footage shows the terrorists executing two captives.

The ISIL group has seized vast territories in Syria and Iraq in recent years. The terrorists are notorious for their many human rights atrocities, including executions of religious minorities, Syrian and Iraqi government servicemen and foreign hostages, including journalists and aid workers.

ISIL has recruited thousands of Westerners. US intelligence estimates the number of foreign fighters that have joined ISIL to be between 20,000 and 30,000.
