Phosphate Exports Increase
Damascus, (ST) –The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Ali Suleiman Al-Abbass confirmed that phosphate exports increased during the first half of this year about 153.000 tons valued at $ 33 million, amounting to 568,000 tons worth $ 64 million, compared to 415,000 tons valued at $ 31 million during the first half of the year 2014.
The Minister, during meetings of following the implementation of productivity and investment plans for the first half of 2015 for institutions and companies affiliated to the ministry, pointed to the need to activate the development of drilling and production to enhance production and the completion of the gas plant north the central region.
