Syrian -American Forum: Assad Speech Calls for Concentrating Efforts against Terrorism

WASHINGTON, (ST) _The Syrian-American Forum has stressed that President Bashar al-Assad speech about the political process to resolve the crisis in Syria is a clear evidence on the keenness of the Syrian government to save the life of Syrians and to concentrate on international, regional and local efforts to fight terrorism in the region and restore its security and stability.

Spokesman for the forum Dr. Ghias Moussa said in a statement to SANA that “no solution can exceed the Syrian legitimacy as a representative of the Syrian government,” pointing out that the international community is today convinced of this fact, following disclosure of falsity and lies of certain Western and Arab media that participated in the war on Syria.

Moussa called on the US to move towards Syria and cooperate with it instead of cooperating with terrorism states, which fund and support terrorism by money, weapons and fighters, stressing that Syria will emerge victorious very soon, eliminate terrorism from its soil and restore its security and safety.

Last Saturday, the Syrian- American Forum organized a mass demonstration in Boston under the title of “peace and amity ” with the participation of members of the Syrian community and their friends, in which they regretted what Syria has been experiencing as a result of terrorism, demanding the US to stop supporting terrorists in Syria.
