Syrian army delivers knockout blows to terrorists in Zabadani and Hasaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured several buildings on the outskirts of Ghwiran quarter  in Hasaka city and has killed a terrorist group in the northeastern countryside of Daraa, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units fully controlled building of Vegetables Company plus several buildings surrounding the graveyard on the outskirts of Ghwiran quarter in Hasaka city after they inflicted heavy losses on ISIS terrorists there.

The fresh progress coincided with destroying a car bomb driven by ISIS terrorist before it reached al-Falaha quarter in the eastern edge of Hasaka city.

Over the past few days, army units and national forces have intensified operations against ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of Ghwiran quarter to pave the way for the return of displaced people to their homes in the quarter.

Moving towards the northern front, a military source declared that army units killed all members of a terrorist group, including its leader, in al-Ghareyeh al-Sharqeyeh town in the northeastern countryside of Daraa and carried out qualitative operations against terrorist organizations in Khrab al-Shahem town, which is located near the Jordanian al-Torra town from which terrorists infiltrate into Syrian territories.

Another military source said that Syrian warplanes pounded a hideout of terrorist ringleaders in Jobar quarter near Damascus and destroyed a weapons-laden car plus 2 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to terrorist organizations in Abo al-Shamat area in Damascus countryside.

Attack on military post in Zabadani foiled

As for Zabadani battle, army units and the Lebanese resistance fully controlled Zabadani plain and Barada road after they killed large numbers of terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement, which is linked to the Saudi regime.

The area of Zabadani plain is 60 square kilometers, while Barada road is located south-west of the plain and it was one of the terrorists’ major supply routes into the city of Zabadani .

A military source said that army units and the Lebanese resistance destroyed a bomb-making factory and found explosive devices during combing operations.  

“Dozens of explosive devices, weighing 1000kg were defused by engineering units,” the source added.

Earlier today, the Syrian TV channel reported that army units foiled terrorists’ attack on a military post outside Zabadani city in Damascus countryside and killed many terrorists.

Last night, army units and the Lebanese resistance recaptured strategic points in Zabadani plain, tightening grip on terrorist organizations in Zabadani city.

The strategic points that have been recaptured by army units and the Lebanese resistance are Darb al-Kallaseh, Darb Hasbeh and Marj al-Ksara.

The progress was made in the wake of intensified operations against al-Nusra Front and the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement terrorists.

Further terrorist affiliated to ISIS [also known as ISIL or Daesh] were killed when an army unit destroyed an armored car on the outskirts of Der Ezzour airbase.

Terrorists training camp destroyed 

In the northern Aleppo province, army units destroyed yesterday a training camp for the so-called the ‘al-Sultan Murad’ brigade in Aleppo city.

Terrorist organizations announce through social media that a field commander was shot dead by unknown gunmen as he was leaving the ‘operation center of the conquest of Aleppo alliance’ in Andan city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.      

Basma Qaddour
