National cohesion, main factor in defeating Zionist Takfiri project

One of the main objectives of the notorious Zionist Takfiri project is to divide Syria into mini entities and create conflicts based on sectarian and religious principles to end the peaceful co-existence Syria has been famed for since time immemorial. However, the Syrian people are well aware of this conspiracy and they will foil it by strengthening their national cohesion and unity.

The Syrians cannot accept the idea of dividing Syria and those who imagine that the terrorist organization of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS” could transform into a state are completely mistaken and illusive.

All UN resolutions stipulate for and stem from the principle of the integrity and sovereignty of the Syrian territories. The Syrians -whether they are Arabs, Kurds or from any other ethnic group- do not accept division. All Syrian cities are demographically mixed and there is no map set according to ethnic, sectarian or religious basis. One of the secrets of Syria’s steadfastness is that no one is excluded from defending the homeland. The clans in the northeastern area should fight ISIS and defend the towns, villages and locals by the side of the Syrian Arab Army, and no one should be content with only waiting or anticipating.

Patriotism has always been the motto of Sweida locals.  What happened was an attempt to renew talking on the sectarian and religious dimensions but that was undermined although it was well-prepared for with the aim of targeting the city and storming al-Tha’ala Airport and the surrounding areas, yet that was divulged thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian Arab Army and the residents of Sweida.

The Syrian government has big data related to banks and figures representing the Turkish intelligence that proves their involvement in supporting terrorism. The Syrian government has huge information related to terrorists as well. All will need to resort to and coordinate with Syria for getting information and those who want that should admit their mistake towards Syria and be politically open to it.

The solution to the crisis in Syria requires international will and a decisive international decision that bans supporting, arming and sending terrorists to Syria. There should be an international agreement on a political solution to the crisis, combating terrorism and implementing relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The basic factor that is hindering national reconciliation in Syria is the external factor. But despite all difficulties, the national reconciliation ministry had achieved reconciliations in more than 50 areas across Syria.

The recent surge in terror attacks against Syrian cities and a number of world cities was caused by the international inaction over the support provided by certain countries to terrorist activities. The dramatic spike in attacks is a natural outcome of the international silence over the conduct of the countries supporting terrorism which goes undeterred. The attacks prove that Syria was right when it repeatedly warned of the dangers posed by terrorism that knows no boundaries, pressing for concentrated international efforts against ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra which spearhead international terrorism.

The recent statements by Saudi and Jordanian top officials, including the Saudi representative at the UN Human Rights Council and the Jordanian King in which the former pledged continued military support for terrorists and the latter declared his intention to arm Syrian and Iraqi tribes is an unacceptable and blatant interference in the internal affairs of the two countries. Such statements reflect the two states’ involvement in prolonging the Syrian crisis and shedding the blood of Syrian people.

International action against the countries which are avowed supporters of terrorism is very necessary, and cooperation with the Syrian government which has been fighting terrorism for over four years in defense of its citizens is the first serious step to combat terrorism.

The futility of the declared war on terrorism that has been going on for over a year is crystal clear as it has failed to achieve any of its stated goals, instead allowing ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra to further spread, not only in Syria and Iraq, but also Kuwait and Tunisia and other parts of the world.
