Syrian army kills over 81 terrorists including ISIS Emir

PROVINCES,(ST)_Over 53 terrorists were killed during  military operations in Zabadani city in the northwestern countryside of Damascus and in al-Mayadeen town in Der Ezzour province, according to military sources.

Of the 53 terrorists, 13 ISIS terrorists including an Emir, dubbed Abo Hozaifa al-Saudi, were killed when an army unit and popular defense group obliterated a hideout of ISIS terrorists in al-Mayadeen town in Der Ezzour countryside.

Some of the terrorists killed in the said town were of foreign nationalities, a military source told the official news agency (SANA).

More 40 terrorists were eliminated in an ambush set up by army units and the Lebanese resistance in Zabadani city, about 45 km north-west of Damascus.

The terrorists were trying to infiltrate from al-Zabadani plain into Zabadani city, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.

In the eastern Ghouta of Damascus,army units exploded a 150 meter long tunnel in Harasta city and destroyed 3 arms caches belonging to terrorists in Harasta farms.

Add to that, army units killed 13 al-Nusra Front terrorists in an operation on the outskirts of al-Sararif town in Jisr Esh Shugur countryside in Idlib province.

ISIS arms depot destroyed

While in Hasaka city, army units in cooperation with national forces destroyed an arms depot belonging to ISIS terrorists in the southeastern edge of Ghweran quarter and killed 15 ISIS terrorists in al-Villat al-Homer quarter.

SANA confirmed continuity of operations against  ISIS terrorists in al-Villat al-Homer quarter, indicating that ISIS terrorists booby trapped homes in the western al-Nashweh quarter after they displaced the people.  

The ISIS terrorists exploded more than 20 car bombs over the past weeks in Hasaka city.

In the northern Aleppo province, army units inflicted heavy losses on terrorist organizations in towns of al-Mansoura, Injara, Khan Toman, al-Atarib, DarEzzeh, Ebtin, al-Wdihi, al-Amereyeh, Khan al-Asal, Hritan and Bianon as well as in quarters of al-Rashedin, al-Sokkari, Bani Zied, al-Layramon, al-Khaledeyeh and the old city of Aleppo.
