Army establishes control over villages and hills in Lattakia, terrorists suffer more casualties and material losses in other areas

 

Provinces – Besides the increasing casualties inflicted upon their ranks, terrorist organizations have also suffered heavy losses in equipment as the army units continue targeting their movements, hideouts and positions all across the country.

Lattakia

The army established full control over new areas in the northern countryside of Lattakia province, a military source announced on Friday.

 Those areas included Beit Zifa and Beit Khaddour villages and al-Sindian Mount, al-Khodr Hill, al-Rahmaliyeh Mount and al-Miqtraniyeh Mount.

The source told SANA that violent clashes took place with the terrorists, who were mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra, before the army units, aided by the popular defense groups managed to take control of those areas.

The clashes left many of the terrorists killed, while tens of them fled away towards the areas near the border with Turkey, according to the source.

Quneitra

Many terrorists were killed and an ammunition depot was destroyed during army operations to the west of Mas’hara Hill, Bir Ajam and al-Hamidiyeh in the countryside of the southern Quneitra province.

Sweida

An army unit destroyed several terrorists’ vehicles loaded with weapons moving on Ara-Jbeib road in the southwestern countryside of the southern Sweida province.

Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that army units clashed with ISIS terrorists who tried to infiltrate al-Haqf village in the northeastern countryside of the province.

Most of the terrorists were killed, while the rest retreated towards the villages of al-Qasr, al-Saqiyeh and Rajm al-Dawleh in al-Badia desert.

In another context, two civilians were killed and another was injured as an explosive device blast targeted a car on the road linking the villages of Bouthaina and al-Haqf, according to a source in Sweida province.

Damascus Countryside

An army unit killed almost all members of three terrorist groups in al-Zabadani area in Damascus Countryside.

Army units killed a number of terrorists in Beit Jinn, Maghr al-Mir and Khan al-Sheeh farms.

Aleppo

Army units completely foiled terrorists’ infiltration attempts in the southern countryside of Aleppo province, according to the military source.

The source said the army members clashes with terrorists who tried to infiltrate the areas of Jabal al-Qarh, Jabal al-Batmeh, Jabal Azzan and Haddadin.

Most of the terrorists were killed, the rest fled away and their vehicles were destroyed as a result of the clashes.

The source added that a terrorists’ attack on Kweires Airport, 40 km to the east of Aleppo city, was frustrated as the army units defending the airport repelled terrorists who tried to infiltrate and attack it, leaving large numbers of them killed or injured.

Idleb

In the neighboring Idleb province, the army air force destroyed several hideouts, killing terrorists inside them, in Abu al-Duhour, M’artamsarin, Kafr Oweid and Jannet al-Qura in the countryside.

Deir Ezzor

A number of ISIS terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed in army air strikes that targeted their gatherings in the villages of al-Mrei’iyeh and al-Jafreh in the countryside of the eastern Deir Ezzor province.
