Syria will continue its open war against terrorism, Deputy FM

Beirut – Two alliances have been facing each other, during the four and a half year of the war on Syria, on which the world partitioned between them,Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said.

In an article published in the Lebanese al-Binaa daily on Monday, Mikdad added the first alliance is bristled with arms, money and greediness but has no political values or ethics, while the other is of independent states which work according to the interests of their people, national values, ethics and interests of its peoples.

Mikdad added that since the very beginning of the war on Syria, the Syrian leadership, headed by President Bashar al-Assad, realized that the country is facing a great global-regional war and that serious and true initiatives of reform will isolate the project of the war from any popular hosting environment, and that the only way to continue the war is by bringing in terrorist organizations from across the world to fight on behalf of the war decision-makers.

In return Syria realized that those reform initiatives have a role in facilitating the understanding of the image of what is taking place in it, he said wondering whether it is an internal crisis or a foreign war .. whether it is a conflict on the concept of authority, on handing it over or whether it is a regional-global war to change Syria’s position on the political geography of the region.

When Syria talks about an alliance to counter the war alliance, it realizes that it should work to create this alliance , so its diplomacy bounded to all the countries committed to the values of the national independence and those who are aware of the dangers of the growing of terrorist organizations, Deputy Foreign Minister added.

Syria through its diplomacy was able to create a wide-range alliance which encompasses Russia as a pioneer state in understanding the concept of the national independence, Iran as an independent state which has regional weight and Hizbollah Party as a popular power in the region which represents the spirit of the Arab resistance, Mikdad underscored.

Expressing Syria’s pleasure that the solution to the crisis in Syria is based on a Russian initiative reflects President Vladimir Putin’s sicerity, Mikdad said that Syria is positively open to the Russian initiative since it was the first to be acquainted with its details, and waiting till the day where words are changed to actions in sensing the danger of terrorism by stopping the invloved countries in backing terrorism from that.

He stressed that Syria, aided with its alliances of Russia, Iran and Hezbollah Party, will continue its open war against terrorism till uprooting it from all the Syrian lands and restoring its sovereignty and stability.
