Boroujerdi: U.S. Created ISIL to Weaken Axis of Resistance

TEHRAN, (ST) – Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Shura Council Alaeddin Boroujerdi has asserted that America has created the terrorist takfiri organization calling itself the “Islamic State in Iraq and Lavent” (ISIL) through its interference in the internal affairs of the region with the purpose of fighting and weakening the axis of resistance and implementing colonialist policies.

In a statement on Thursday, Boroujerdi said that thousands of Europeans and people from western countries are joining ISIL, reiterating that “the danger of ISIL terrorism will also hit the European countries.”

The Iranian official pointed out that the Saudi regime has committed a “big mistake” by launching the war on Yemen, stressing that this crime has unmasked the real image of this regime in front of the world, particularly the Islamic world.

“The outcomes of this crime will undoubtedly backfire on the Saudi regime,” he said.
