Hasaka city ‘safe and stable’

HASAKA,(ST)_Hasaka Governor has confirmed that Hasaka city is safe and stable, calling on local notables and tribal leaders to confront the rumors.

Mohammad Z’al al-Ali was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that Syrian army, security bodies and popular defense groups are still in their strategic positions to protect the safety of the city and the people.

He appealed to the local notables and tribal leaders to play their key role in raising the morale of citizens and confronting the rumors that aim at making the city free of people.  

The governor called on the people of Hasaka city to return to their homes and to keep in touch with officials in the city.

On his part, Hasaka police commander Maj.Gen Hussien al-Tahhan declared that the forces defending the Hasaka central prison are still in their sites and they are fulfilling their duties in confronting the ISIS terrorists” attacks.

He denied report about withdrawal of the forces defending the prison, stressing that these reports are ‘groundless and baseless’.
