Syrian army, Lebanese resistance continue their advance in Qalamoun area
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has made fresh progress in Qalamoun area outside Damascus and has targeted terrorist ringleaders’ meeting in Bosra al-Sham city in Daraa province.
The fresh progress synchronized with killing many of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Ofania town in Quneitra countryside and ambushing ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs.
According to the official news agency (SANA), Syrian army units in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance recaptured today 5 hills- Sho’abet al-Bakkara, Sho’abet Thallajet al-Borkan, Qarnet Sho’abet al-Bakkara, Sho’abet Beit Shkor and Dhalil al-Haj Ali- in in al-Jarajir barren in al-Qalamoun area outside Damascus.
One week ago, Syrian army units and the Lebanese resistance regained control over Raas al-Kosh hill and Qarnet Raas al-Saabeh in jarajir barrens.
Terrorist ringleaders’ meeting targeted
Moving towards the south of the country, army units carried out a concentrated operation against terrorist ringleaders’ meeting in the southeastern quarter of Bosra al-Sham city, about 40km east of Daraa city.
The operation resulted in the death of all terrorist ringleaders and the destruction of the hideout in which they were meeting.
More terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front were eliminated as army units struck their hideouts in the eastern countryside of Daraa and in Daraa al-Balad as well as in Ofenia town in the northeastern countryside of Quneitra.
There were also other strikes on ISIS terrorists in Sabah al-Khier and al-Melbeyeh towns in the southern countryside of Hasaka.
The ISIS terrorists have been inflicted heavy losses in the southern countryside of Hasaka over the past weeks, SANA said.
Ambush
It added that an army unit in cooperation with popular defense groups ambushed ISIS terrorists east of al-Tafha town in the eastern countryside of Homs.
Many terrorists were killed and injured and a vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun belong to them was destroyed in the ambush, a military source confirmed.
In Idlib countryside, army units killed a terrorist group and destroyed an armored car belonging to the al-Nusra Front in Jannet al-Qora area.
