Electricity Minister: Implementation of Agreements with Iranian Companies Stressed

 

TEHRAN, (ST) – Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis discussed with Director General of the Iranian Export Development Bank Dr. Ali Saleh Abadi means of implementation the signed contracts with Iranian companies,the work to overcome the obstacles and commitment to the program schedule.

 Eng. Khamis stressed during the meeting the importance of taking extraordinary steps in the current phase and working hard to improve the quality of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Mr. Abadi confirmed his country’s support to Syria and the work to overcome the difficulties that hinder the march of joint cooperation between the two countries.

Eng. Khamis also discussed during a meeting with representatives of a number of Iranian companies operating in the electricity sector in Syria means of future cooperation, the implementation mechanism of electrical projects and compliance with the obligations to meet the needs of the electricity sector in Syria.

It is noteworthy that Syria and Iran signed last March an economic cooperation agreement in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, joint investments and activating the role of the private sector in this field.
