Syrian army kills and injures over 200 terrorists in Quneitra, thwarts ISIS attack on town in Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has foiled ISIS terrorists’ attack on Khattab town in the eastern countryside of Homs and has killed scores of terrorists in Quneitra and Damascus countryside.

According to a military source, an army unit clashed with terrorists affiliated to the ISIS, self pro-claimed the Islamic State [ISIS], who infiltrated from the northern al-Msherfeh town into Khattab town in the eastern Homs countryside.

The clashes resulted in the death of many terrorists and destruction of their weapons.

Further terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front were eliminated when Syrian warplanes bombed their groupings in al-Saen and Ein Hsin towns in the northeastern countryside of Homs and in al-Ghanto town in the northern countryside of the same province.

The same terror organization [al-Nusra Front] and its allied groups were inflicted heavy losses in the southwestern countryside of Damascus as Syrian warplanes hit their groupings in khan al-Shieh area and Biet Jen farms.

“An arms depot was destroyed and scores of terrorists were killed in the airstrikes,” the official news agency (SANA) said.

The agency confirmed continuity of operations against terrorist organizations in several areas in Daraa and Quneitra.

 A military source declared that army units killed and injured over 200 terrorists in Tal al-Shaar, Tal Bzaq and Krom Jabba area in Quneitra countryside.

Separately, SANA said that the competent authorities regularized situations of 243 wanted persons from al-Rastan, Talbiseh Kafer Aya, Deir B’albah, and other quarters in Homs.
