Some 23 Local and Foreign Companies Take Part in Veterinary Exhibition

DAMASCUS, (ST) -With the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and some23 local and foreign, activities of the Veterinary Agricultural Exhibition was opened at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ahmed Qadri stressed that holding of such exhibitions focus on aspects of agricultural and livestock activity, pointing out that the goal of this exhibition is to keep the communication between the breeders, producers, traders and consumers and to open new markets for livestock products.

“The presentation of our products including gveterinary  medicineis an indication that the Syrian pharmacological product meets a great interest from the Ministry of Agriculture in addition to the support received by producers of veterinary medicine and owners of plants to the protection of livestock from epidemics and diseases, Mr. Qadri said.

He explained that the Syrian veterinarian medicine of high quality and is exported to 42 Arab and foreign countries, pointing out that this drug has proved good effect through continuous use.

Organizer of the exhibition Dr. Mehran al -Houri pointed out that the exhibition aims to renew information about producing companies as a result of the current circumstances and the renewal of the vital spirit of the industry and deliver a message that “that the domestic industry of agricultural and Veterinary medicines still okay.”

Director of SAFCO Company of Veterinary Medicines Dr. Mohammed Radwan Abdeen said that his company produces drugs for the domestic market and export to Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Egypt and the company is working to enter new markets.

Agent of the Italian Doxal company in Syria and Dr. Sat’i Kasouha stressed the importance of the role of the private sector in the development of the poultry sector pointing to the involvement of new quality products are not available in the market.

Director of al -Farabi Company Safwan Nweilati explained that his company is working on production lines for more than 200 drugs licensed from the Veterinary Medicine Directorate and the company exports its products to five Arab countries, saying that his participation in the exhibition comes in the context of the support and development of the veterinarian medicine.
