Rahi Calls for Stopping Ongoing Terrorist War on Syria

BEIRUT, (ST)-Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi has renewed his call for putting an end to the ongoing terrorist war on Syria and other countries in the region.

  Al-Rahi said on Monday at the opening of the Synod of Maronite Bishops in Bkirki “we pray for an end to the war on Syria, Iraq and Yemen in diplomatic means and we pray for peace in these countries, in occupied Palestine and other holy lands and in the rest of the Middle East countries.”

  The Maronite Patriarch called for electing a new president for the Lebanese Republic and urged the attainment of reconciliation and stability in Lebanon.

The Synod of the Maronite Church, which started today morning, is due to be concluded on Thursday with communique on its activities.
