Syrian army repels attacks on military posts, kills large numbers of terrorists

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syria army has destroyed an arms depot belonging to terrorists near Damascus and has targeted al-Nusra Front and the ISIS terrorists in southern and central regions with airstrikes.

The terrorists’ arms depot was destroyed in Jobar quarter near Damascus, according to a military source, who added that an army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group affiliated to the al-Nusra Front in al-Khazrajeyeh town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.

The clashes ended with the death of all members of the terrorist group and the destruction of their weapons.

Scores of terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front and allied groups were also eliminated during a series of operations carried out by army units in towns of Nawa, Em Weld, al-Kark, Bosra al-Harir, Kahil and al-Tiba and Daraa al-Balad in Daraa countryside as well as in Em Batneh and Mas’hara towns in the eastern countryside of Quneitra.

Other operations were carried out by army units against the ISIS and the al-Nusra Front terrorists in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs where many terrorists were killed and injured, according to the official news agency (SANA).  

The agency added that Syrian warplanes staged airstrikes against terrorist organizations’ hideouts in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama and in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour.

Large numbers of ISIS, al-Nusra Front terrorists killed

Scores of al-Nusra Front terrorists were killed and large numbers of their vehicles were destroyed in the airstrikes that synchronized with repelling al-Nusra Front terrorists’ attack on military posts in towns of  Markabeh, al-Lahaya and Kherbet al-Masasneh in Hama countryside.

As for Qalamoun battle, the Beirut-based al-Mayadden TV Channel confirmed the death of large numbers of ISIS terrorists during heavy clashes with Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance in Jerd al-Jarajir.
