Sayyed Nasrallah: Battle against ISIL in Qalamoun Started, Victory “Definite”

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah assured Wednesday that great achievements have taken place in Qalamoun in the past couple of days and that the mountain peaks are now under the control of the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah.

Sayyed Nasrallah added that “in the barrens of Arsal there were also great achievements and Al-Nusra front was defeated,” according to Sara Taha Moughniehm Al-Manar Website.

Speaking at the second Conference of Renovation and Intellectual Jurisprudence of Imam Khamenei, his eminence announced that “the battle against ISIL has begun, and they were the ones who started the fight, which is better than us starting it.”

Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that “Yesterday’s [ISIL] attack had several goals, yet the resistance fighters confronted it courageously, killing tens of ISIL militants and destroying their tanks.”

“The resistance has certainly offered dear martyrs in one of the fiercest battles and we ask Allah to let them be an honor and dignity for their families and for us,” he added.

Moreover, he stressed that “we will move forward with this battle until eradicating this malicious terrorist presence on our borders, and we reassure our firm determination and insistence that we will not let any terrorists exist on our borders or our barrens.”

“They will definitely be defeated, but this needs time, and we are working patiently to achieve this goal.”

Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that the battle against this Takfiri doctrine is not only through politics and media, but also through intellectualism, because the enemies have moved us to the state of defending Islam due to the Takfiri attempt to disfigure it.

Sayyed Nasrallah referred to the significance of Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as he plays three roles: “He is knowledgeable in jurisprudence and has been giving lectures in that for over 20 years… He is the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which requires great courage and qualification. Since the departure of Imam Khomeini, and amid the threats, conspiracies, and sanctions that Iran has been facing, Imam Khamenei has confronted the threats, turning them to opportunities until Iran became a regional power… Thirdly, his eminence is a great Islamic intellect, as he is one of the most significant religious references.”

Hezbollah secretary general highlighted the special character of Imam Khamenei as a leader, considering that “I haven’t known any leader in the world who gives this much of his time for intellectual issues and communicates directly to the fears and gaps the nation is suffering from.”

“Since his youth, Imam Khamenei had wide intellectual interest. He has always been into history, biography, literature, poetry, and novels, and he even attends the annual book exhibition in Tehran and gives his opinion in every detail …” his eminence pointed out, calling on everyone, specifically Muslims, to learn more about Imam Khamenei, and considered that “this is not for his benefit, but for your own benefit”.

on Sunday , Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah highlighted that “the Yemeni people, with their brave army and courageous fighters of the Popular Committees, are strongly steadfast and determined to win and to defeat the aggressors, regardless of the sacrifices” they offer.

During a meeting of clerics held in the Iranian city of Qom to express “Solidarity with the Oppressed Yemeni People,” Sayyed Nasrallah said that “this [Yemeni] people has the enough wisdom, conscious, will, and recognition to understand the reality of the [Saudi-US] aggression and defeat it.”

In his speech that was televised live before the participants in the meeting session, Hezbollah leader said that Yemen and the Yemeni people are in need today of all forms of sincere support and of saying the truth explicitly to the world because of the huge immense of media misinformation.

“Yemen needs to tell the truth to the world, the truth of the aggression that is being hidden because of misinformation,” his eminence said, stressing that “the Yemeni people need the international political, diplomatic and humanitarian support, so that the aggressors aren’t able to impose solutions that do not fit Yemen’s interests and its enormous sacrifices.”

Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah revealed that “the US-Saudi war on Yemen will shape the future of the region, either in serving the interests of the global arrogance and the tyrants, or in serving the interests of the peoples of the region and in line with their desires and wills.”

“For this reason, this war must be a a matter of concern for all of us,” Hezbollah Secretary General ended up saying.

Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-US coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
