Syrian airstrikes kill over 40 terrorists in Daraa, destroys ISIS armored cars in Hassaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian airstrikes have killed over 40 terrorists in Daraa and have destroyed a convoy of ISIS armored cars equipped with heavy machine-guns in the southern Hasaka countryside, the official news agency SANA reported Tuesday.

The agency clarified that the 40 terrorists were killed in al-Maliha al-Sharqeyeh, al-Kark and al-Hrak towns in Daraa countryside, adding that army units inflicted heavy losses on the ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists in the eastern and northern countryside of Homs.

It indicated that army units clashed with ISIS terrorists, who tried to attack al-Sammamat area, al-Baida’a town and Em al-Tababer area in Palmyra countryside.

Clashes in Homs and Aleppo

Many terrorist were killed and injured in the clashes, a military source said, confirming that army units targeted ISIS hideouts in Rajm al-Qaser and Em Sherij towns, about 70km east of Homs city.

Other clashes erupted between army units and the al-Nusra Front terrorists in quarters of al-Sekkari, al-Ma’adi, the old city of Aleppo, al-Salehin, Hanano, al-Mash’had, al-Ansari, al-Amereyehand Tal al-Zarazir in the city of Aleppo.

The terrorists were inflicted heavy losses in the clashes, SANA said.

Meanwhile, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups targeted terrorists affiliated to the ISIS, the self-proclaimed Islamic state, on the outskirts of al-Qaser town, around 60km north-east Sweida city.

A vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun belonging to the ISIS was destroyed and all terrorists inside it died on the outskirts of the said town.

More terrorists were eliminated as Syrian warplanes hit hideouts of terrorist organizations’ ringleaders in Ein al-Hamra, Bani Ez, al-Bshereyeh, Bzit and Bashlamon towns in Idlib countryside.
