Syrian army strikes ISIS hideouts in Der Ezzour, foils attack on military posts outside Hasaka city

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed scores of the ISIS terrorists in Der Ezzour and Hasaka countryside amid continuity of military operations against terrorist organizations in the southern and northern fronts.

According to a military source, Syrian warplanes staged intensified strikes on ISIS hideouts in in al-Mayadeen and Hawejet Saker areas as well as in Abo Hamam and Hatla towns in the eastern countryside of Der Ezzour where scores of terrorists were killed and vehicles belonging to them were destroyed.

More ISIS terrorists were killed as an army unit in cooperation with popular defense groups targeted terrorist outposts in al-Jafra town  in the same province [Dear Ezzour].

Yesterday, there were airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes on ISIS hideouts in quarters of al-Jbeleh, al-Erfi, al-hamedeyeh and al-Hweqa in Der Ezzour city  and in several areas on the eastern edge of the city.

Scores of terrorists were killed and injured in the airstrikes, according to the official news agency (SANA).

5 truck bombs destroyed

In Hasak province, army units repelled today morning ISIS terrorists’ attack on military posts on the outskirts of the city.

A source in the province declared that army units in cooperation with popular defense groups destroyed 3 truck bombs driven by ISIS suicide bombers before reaching Tal Abyad checkpoint, about 10 km south-west of Hasaka.

“Two more truck bombs were destroyed outside al-Dawdeyeh town, south-east of Hasaka,” the source added, confirming that  scores of terrorists died during clashes erupted between army units and ISIS terrorists after the destruction of the truck bombs.

The clashes synchronized with striking ISIS groupings in al-Dawdeyeh, Majhzoum, Soda and Abd towns where many terrorists were eliminated.

 Majhzoum, Soda and Abd towns are located in the southwestern countryside of Hasaka.

terrorists supply routes from Jordan

Moving towards the south of the country, army units destroyed several arms caches and vehicles belonging to the al-Nusra Front terrorists during a series of operations in the eastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa.

The operations targeted al-Nusra Front terrorists’ supply routes from Jordan and their hideouts in Sida, al-Naemeh, Kafer Shams, al-Shieh Meskin and Bosra al-Harir towns in Daraa countryside, a military source said.

Other operations were carried out by army units against terrorist organizations in the eastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa and in towns of Abo Shabta and Rasm al-Khawaled in Quneitra countryside.  

Terrorists organizations announced through social media that 34 of their members were killed in several areas in and outside Daraa.

Most of the terrorist organizations’ members, who spread on southern border and in the occupied Golan, have infiltrated through Jordan border after they received military training in the Jordanian regime’s camps on which the Israeli Mossad and some Gulf and Arab intelligence bodies supervise.  

In Damascus countryside, army units struck terrorists hideouts in al-Zabadani and killed many terrorists affiliated to the so-called the ‘Islam’ Brigade in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

While in Aleppo, army units killed many terrorist on the outskirts of the Air Forces academy and destroyed a tunnel used by terrorists in Ojet al-Kayali area.

Last night, army units targeted terrorists hideouts in al-Shaqef, /hritan and Andan areas, which lie on Aleppo-Turkey road.

Separately, SANA reported yesterday that 119 wanted persons from Homs, Lattakia, Daraa and Damascus turned themselves in to the competent authorities to correct their status
