TEHRAN, (ST) – Chairman of the National and Security Committee on Foreign Policy in the Iranian Shura Council Alaeddin Boroujerdi has confirmed that dialogue between all parties in Syria is the only way to resolve the crisis.
During a meeting held yesterday with the former Iraqi Oil Minister, Ibrahim Bahraluloum, Boroujerdi pointed out that the relations between Iran and Iraq have common historical, cultural and religious roots .
In this context, Boroujerdi emphasized that the closer parliamentary ties between the two sides can convey the bilateral relations to a new stage.
For his part, Bhraluloum said that it is necessary for cooperation among the countries of the region to prevent the widening of the scope of the crisis in Syria to the countries of the region.
With regard to his country’s relations with Iran, the Iraqi minister said: “All the political currents in Iraq expressed the need to develop their relations with Iran”.
